How long should a play session be?

Aim for 12–20 minutes: enough to finish a few mini-games or one island, then stop while they still want “tomorrow again” — avoid stretching until they are tired or cranky.

Natural stopping points

Edu-Sparks paths use slots and islands; finishing a slot is a clearer rest signal than an infinite video feed. Parents can use “island done” (or a kitchen timer) as the boundary.

Signs to stop early

They get irritable, tap randomly, or ask for “one more video.” Stop gently, praise what they finished, and set the next session — no need to punish or reset a “streak” that makes them sad.
